In the heart of Assam, where countless streams feed the Brahmaputra and its rich soil, lies Basundhara, our small tea garden in Dhekiajuli.

Namsesu
A Tai-Ahom word meaning “stream of water”
Like a stream, good tea is pure, flows steadily and keeps returning.
That is what we hope Namsesu becomes for you: a cup you come back to, every day.
Planted with patience
Grown by hand. Never rushed.
We planted Basundhara ten years ago with one idea: grow tea patiently, by hand, and never cut corners.
Every leaf in a Namsesu pack is plucked by hand: just two leaves and a bud, picked by people whose skill has been passed down through generations of Assam’s tea communities.
Small batches
Attention a big factory can’t give
We process our leaves in small batches, so each one gets attention a big factory can never give.
That is why our tea tastes fresh, clean and full of character.
One garden. One place. One story.
We don’t buy leaves from other gardens or mix them with cheaper teas. What you drink comes only from Basundhara.
What we make
From Basundhara we make pure teas and gentle blends with real herbs and natural flavours.
“You can taste the quality and care in every cup. Knowing that these are small-batch, handcrafted blends straight from Assam makes the experience feel even more special.”
